The Gabriel Project is a ministry of the Pro-Life Office in the Archdiocese of Kansas City, Kansas and the Respect Life Office in the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph in Missouri, providing assistance to pregnant women in need. We provide emotional, material and spiritual support, as well as links to community resources, to support her choice to parent or give her baby to those seeking to adopt. A trained volunteer, called an Angel, is assigned to the mother when she calls for help and is responsible for ongoing contact with her. The Gabriel Project also enlists the church community, through which the mother receives additional love, care, and material, emotional and spiritual support. For confidential help, please call or text 913-602-0306.
St. Mary's Home for Mothers is a distinctly Catholic option for pregnant women. SMHFM "provides single, homeless women whose pregnancies are at risk with emotional, material, and spiritual assistance to allow each of them the empowerment that comes with choosing life for her unborn infant." If you need assistance or would like to contribute to SMHFM, please contact Deacon Doug Hemke.
